Free entry to Parade Gardens is being trialled, following a successful pilot event in October 2024 that attracted over 29,000 visitors in eight days.
The initiative aims to enhance accessibility and inclusivity, removing the usual seasonal fees of £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for concessions. The council will assess the impact of free access on visitor numbers over the coming year.
The iconic Parade Gardens are renowned for their stunning flowerbed displays, magnificent views of Pulteney Weir and Bath Abbey. These pleasure gardens offer a restful place in the centre of the city for residents and visitors to take a break and enjoy some tranquillity.
