Bath Digital Festival success

As we come to the end of Bath Digital Festival 2024, we look back on a week of energy, enthusiasm and ideas.

Organisations from across the city came together to celebrate all things digital over three themed days, with focus on sport tech, cities and heritage tech and space tech.

Notably, coming through each of the days was a theme of inclusivity in the digital space, and the need to tackle local digital inequalities and to ensure all Bath and North East Somerset residents get access to the benefits a digitally connected life can offer.

The infrastructure for digital businesses here in B&NES was also addressed, highlighting existing challenges and bringing to the forefront ideas that will help propel new work through the Future Ambition Board ‘Digital Connectivity’ group.

Speaking of the Festival, FAB Digital Connectivity group lead Simon Gould said: “Bath Digital Festival this year has really shone a light on the energy and enthusiasm in our city and region that is driving the growth of digital innovation, and the awareness that we need to actively work to ensure the benefits of this are felt in all parts of our society. As a group we have seen new ideas and fresh energy come out of the festival which will be brought into our work going forward.”
