West of England Mayor Helen Godwin will be the keynote speaker at this year’s regional Housing Summit, which will take place at the Apex Hotel, Bath, on Friday 11 July.
Leaders of local political parties in Bath and North East Somerset will also sign a historic Housing Accord, in which they will commit to working together – across party lines and beyond individual council terms – to create a stable, long-term foundation for the generational change needed to solve the housing crisis.
Wayne Hemingway MBE, founder of HemingwayDesign, will host a panel where local people affected by the housing crisis in the South West will discuss the challenges they face, as well as potential solutions.
The Housing Summit brings together housing providers, local stakeholders, developers and building and design professionals to discuss ways to tackle the local housing crisis. It follows last year’s successful inaugural event.
